Trust is such a mysterious thing. Without it we can’t grow into an intimate relationship with ourselves or others. Trust is a spiritual quality that allows us to release control and believe that things will turn to our favor. Trust that you are not writing your life story all by yourself.

I suggest that we are not alone on the journey. Whatever you conceive a higher power to be for you I encourage you to trust that Source and know that God is very busy writing, editing, proofreading, and publishing your story.

The writing process in the hands of the divine means we are showing up in our lives with positive intention to create the best outcome for ourselves and others. We allow God to hold the pen and to author for us page after page, chapter after chapter. We trust that our book of life is held tightly in the hand of our great source of love and that each moment like words on a page are selected and given to us like breath.

Writing is a discipline as well as a gift. It must be mandated if it is to get done. God must show up every day to help us author our stories and to help us unfold the details and to give guidance along the journey.

Editing the work of an author when done correctly will give guidance, suggestions, and help the writer to write more clearly and less sloppy. It is a feedback system laced with experience and knowhow. I coach the book writing process and love helping people find the best within them to cultivate a work from their gifts and talents and sometimes just a desire to write. We need others' perspectives and we can get that from a higher point of view as well. Ask God for feedback and inspiration for your page today.

Proofreading is the tedious process of combing over each sentence and looking for mistakes and making sure nothing gets missed. Working on a manuscript can bring you so close to the work that mistakes can slip past. A good proofreader will save you embarrassment and it can save you from having your mistakes published for everyone to see. Allow yourself to sit with God each day and use self awareness to bring to light mistakes you are making and how to do better and still love and support yourself. Be willing to take correction and be humble. Say you’re sorry or ask for help. Listen with your heart to hear the direction as well as the atta girls. A generous God will have many wonderful things to say to you! Listen as correction does not need to be negative.

Turn over the job of publishing your story to God as well. Do your part but do not live your life as if it all depends on you. There is much you have no control over and letting go of the outcome will make the twists and turns in the plot of your life be easier to manage. A publisher is willing to get your story out there because they believe in you. They take some responsibility to help you succeed. They encourage and help to handle the details. Let God take that job and you do your part.

Your part is to show up everyday and do your best. That will vary day to day. Trust what the day brings and ask for guidance as you step out into your world. Our brains get overloaded and then it just seems to trigger into default mode of failure after failure. Look for what is going right and focus on that. What is right with today.

I’m writing a book on inner child work. In that book I have a chapter on magic moments and how to focus your attention on the moments in your day that were wonderful, magical, light filled, maybe even a little miracle or two. Be believing in your story and just write one page a day. Each day is a page and when this life is through that sacred work will be in the great library of the journey’s of the earth plane. Let God write, edit, proofread, and publish your story. I promise that you are a best seller!
